Alice Randall is Writer-in-Residence at Vanderbilt University, where for over a decade she has taught courses on African American foodways. She is the coauthor of the award-winning cookbook memoir Soul Food Love. Her essays on food and eating have appeared in the New York Times, Gravy, Best Food Writing 2016, Essence magazine, and a variety of other publications.
