Alicia Schmidt Camacho is a scholar of migration, border governance, and Latinx cultural politics in North America. She directs the Migrant Justice Initiative at Yale University, a collaborative research project for scholars to document and engage with migrant-led organizing, and to shape better understandings of human mobility in the Americas.
