Alison Lumsden holds a chair in English Literature at the University of Aberdeen. She was a general editor of the Edinburgh Edition of the Waverley Novels and is now lead editor for a scholarly edition of Scott’s poetry. She has published extensively on Scott and is Honorary Librarian for his home in the Scottish Borders, Abbotsford House.
