Amanda Hannoosh Steinberg is the visual resources librarian for Islamic art and architecture at the Harvard University Fine Arts Library and a scholar of medieval Arabic popular literature. Her dissertation was entitled “Wives, Witches, and Warriors: Women in Arabic Popular Epic.”
