Anupama Rao

Anupama Rao is Associate Professor, History at Barnard College, Columbia University. She is currently completing a book on the political thought of B. R. Ambedkar, tentatively titled “Ambedkar in His Time and Ours,” and working on “Dalit Bombay,” a book about the relationship between political culture and everyday life in twentieth century Bombay. She is Senior Editor, Comparative Studies in South Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. icon
