Avi Asher-Schapiro
Avi Asher-Schapiro is a graduate student at NYU and a freelance journalist based in Brooklyn. He was a Research Associate at the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs at Georgetown University and a 2011–2012 Fulbright Fellow in Cairo, Egypt. His work has appeared in Salon, Vice, and Jacobin, among other publications.
