Cal Biruk is Associate Professor of Anthropology at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. Their research interests include medical anthropology, STS, queer studies, and critical data studies. They are the author of Cooking Data: Culture and Politics in an African Research World (2018, Duke) and the co-author, with Greta LaFleur, of a book titled Birding as Critique (under contract with Duke).
