Caroline Tracey grew up in Colorado. More recently she has lived in California and Kyrgyzstan, where she was a 2014–15 Fulbright research fellow. Her past writing about water in the West has appeared in [PANK] and The Cossack Review, and she is currently working on a novel about land speculation in the American West and Central Asia.
