Cynthia Wall is Professor of English at the University of Virginia. She is the author of The Literary and Cultural Spaces of Restoration London (1998) and The Prose of Things: Transformations of Description in the Eighteenth Century (2006), as well as an editor of Bunyan, Defoe, and Pope.
