Elihu Katz is Professor of Communication at the University of Pennsylvania, and emeritus Professor of Sociology and Communication at the Hebrew University of Jersualem. His first book (with Paul F. Lazarsfeld) was Personal Influence: The Part Played by People in the Flow of Mass Communication; his most recent (with John Peters, Tamar Liebes, and Avril Orloff) is Canonic Texts in Media Research: Are There Any? Should There Be? How About These?
