Ellen Mayock is the Ernest Williams II Professor of Spanish at Washington and Lee University, where she teaches courses in Hispanic studies and women’s, gender, and sexuality studies. She is the author (with Mary Ann Dellinger and Beatriz Trigo) of Indagaciones. Introducción a los Estudios Culturales hispanos (Georgetown University Press, 2019); The “Strange Girl” in Twentieth-Century Spanish Novels Written by Women (University Press of the South, 2004); and Gender Shrapnel in the Academic Workplace (Palgrave MacMillan, 2016). Her first poetry collection in Spanish, Piropos académicos, is forthcoming (Valparaíso Ediciones, 2027).
