Emma Heaney is a scholar of comparative literature, trans studies, and Marxist feminism. She teaches courses in these areas as Clinical Associate Professor in the XE Program at New York University. Her fourth book, Ghost Cousins: Literature After Cisness, is forthcoming from Cambridge University Press in 2027.
