Eric Darnell Pritchard is an assistant professor of English at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His first book, Fashioning Lives: Black Queers and the Politics of Literacy, will be published in 2016. He is at work on a book about the life and work of 1980s fashion designer Patrick Kelly.
