Florent Guénard

An Assistant Professor at the Philosophy Department of the École Normale Supérieure (Paris), Florent Guénard specializes in political and moral philosophy. He authored several studies on 18th century philosophy, among which Rousseau et le travail de la convenance (H. Champion, 2004) and co-edited La religion, la liberté, la justice, a commentary on Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s Lettres écrites de la montagne (Vrin, 2005). His work now focuses on the promotion of democracy and authored, in 2016, la Démocratie universelle. Philosophie d’un modèle politique (Seuil). He is the editor-in-chief of La Vie des idées/Books and Ideas. icon
