Frank Pasquale is Piper & Marbury Professor of Law at the University of Maryland. His book The Black Box Society (Harvard University Press, 2015) examined the role of algorithms in governing personal reputation, media, and finance. His latest book, New Laws of Robotics: Defending Human Expertise in the Age of AI, is forthcoming from Belknap Press in October 2020. In July 2020, he will become a professor of law at Brooklyn Law School. icon
