Gabriele Lazzari is a doctoral candidate in comparative literature at Rutgers University. His research focuses on the contemporary novel and on literature of migration, particularly in relation to the resurgence of a new global realism. His articles and reviews have appeared, or are forthcoming, in Comparative Literature, Research in African Literatures, and Comparative Literature Studies.
