Hillary Angelo is an assistant professor of sociology at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Her work has been featured in leading social science and geography journals, including Theory and Society and the International Journal of Urban and Regional Research. She is currently completing a book on the history of urban greening in Germany’s Ruhr region.
