Ibrahim Hirsi is a journalist and doctoral candidate in history at the University of Minnesota, specializing in US immigration and the Black diaspora. His writing has appeared in Politico, Truthout, PRI’s The World, and elsewhere. Ibrahim currently produces a digital project, “Stories from the Pandemic,” that documents COVID-19’s impact on immigrants and refugees in Minnesota.  icon
