Jane Gallop

Jane Gallop is Distinguished Professor of English and Comparative Literature at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, where she coordinates the program in Literature and Cultural Theory. She has written on a wide range of topics including psychoanalysis, feminism, the Marquis de Sade, feminist literary criticism, queer theory, and close reading. Her most recent book is The Deaths of the Author: Reading and Writing in Time (2011). icon
