Jason Danely is Associate Professor of Anthropology at Oxford Brookes University. He has authored several books and articles on aging, dying, and care, most recently, Unset-tled Futures: Carceral Circuits and Old Age in Japan (2024), an ethnographic account of the lives of socially marginalized formerly incarcerated older people.
