Ken MacLeish is Assistant Professor of Anthropology and Medicine, Health, and Society at Vanderbilt University. His book, Making War at Fort Hood: Life and Uncertainty in a Military Community (forthcoming from Princeton University Press), is an ethnography of the everyday experience of war making for soldiers and military families.
