Kristen Martin recently received an MFA in nonfiction writing from Columbia University. Her essays have been published in Literary Hub, The Hairpin, Guernica, The Toast, The Grief Diaries, Saveur, Cleaver Magazine, and elsewhere. She teaches first-year writing at Columbia and Baruch College.
