Three recent poetry collections have cemented the rise of what we might call the “metalyrical”: poetry that interrogates the conditions of its own expression.

Mande Zecca
Mande Zecca’s writing has appeared in Modernism/modernity, Post45, Jacket2, and elsewhere. Her chapbook, Pace Arcadia, was published by Dancing Girl Press in 2017. She is in the process of revising a scholarly book manuscript on the leftist political imaginary of post–World War II elegies. She teaches in the Harvard College writing program.
