Monica Eppinger
Monica Eppinger is an anthropologist of law whose research focuses on the pragmatics of inclusion, exclusion, and governance. Her first career was in diplomacy, and in 1999 she received an individual Superior Honor Award, the State Department’s highest civilian honor. She left the Foreign Service in 2001 to take up questions that policy work had raised for her. Since 2010, she has been an Assistant Professor of Law and Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Saint Louis University.
