Sara Marcus is the author of Girls to the Front: The True Story of the Riot Grrrl Revolution (2010). Her essays and criticism have appeared in the New Republic, the Los Angeles Times, The Nation, and Bookforum, and in the books The Essential Ellen Willis (2014) and The Idea of the Avant-Garde (2014).
