Susan Fraiman

Susan Fraiman is professor of English at the University of Virginia. Her most recent book, Extreme Domesticity: A View from the Margins (Columbia University Press, 2017), explores domestic precarity and creativity among queer, working-class, immigrant, and other marginal figures. She is also the author of Cool Men and the Second Sex (Columbia University Press, 2003), Unbecoming Women: British Women Writers and the Novel of Development (Columbia University Press, 1993), and articles in such places as Critical Inquiry, PMLA, New Literary History, and Signs. icon
