Victoria Wiet is an assistant professor of English at DePauw University. She is currently at work on a book titled Theatrical License and the Pleasures of Victorian Fiction, which examines how the commercialization of the British theatre helped to turn realist fiction into a medium for envisioning erotic nonconformity. This project has received research fellowships from the University of Glasgow, Harvard University, and UCLA.
