Yarimar Bonilla is professor in the department of Africana and Puerto Rican/Latino Studies at Hunter College and in the PhD program in anthropology at the CUNY Graduate Center. She is the author of Non-Sovereign Futures: French Caribbean Politics in the Wake of Disenchantment (University of Chicago Press, 2015) and coeditor of Aftershocks of Disaster: Puerto Rico Before and After the Storm (Haymarket, 2019).
