Ulrich Baer’s podcast Think About It features in-depth conversations with leading thinkers on powerful ideas. The first 40 or so episodes are dedicated to free speech. He has written and edited books on poetry, photography, the role of testimony in historical remembrance, Hannah Arendt, and Shoshana Felman. He has also published a collection of short stories and a novel. Most recently, he translated and edited Rainer Maria Rilke’s The Dark Interval: Letters on Loss, Grief and Transformation (Modern Library, 2018). In 2019, Oxford University Press will publish What Snowflakes Get Right about Free Speech: On Truth, Equality, and the University in the Age of Trump. He teaches at New York University.
