Robert M. Shrum is the Carmen H. and Louis Warschaw Chair in Practical Politics at the University of Southern California and author of No Excuses: Concessions of a Serial Campaigner (2007). A longtime political consultant, he was senior strategist in the presidential campaigns of Al Gore (2000) and John Kerry (2004).
